The WAVLD initiated the student oral presentation/poster awards program at the 2013 ISWAVLD meeting in Berlin, Germany.
At each meeting, all students presenting are pre-judged by the host country’s scientific committee with a final review of the top three candidates by the WAVLD Board of Directors.
The WAVLD provides a certificate, a complimentary gala dinner ticket and a $1000 USD prize for the student judged to have delivered the best poster presentation and the best oral presentation.
